Treatment Groups
There’s something uniquely powerful about connecting with others who truly understand what it’s like to live with OCD. Shame thrives in secrecy, so learning to open up in a supportive space can be an effective antidote to the shame that can accompany OCD.

But group treatment is more than that they also provide evidence-based skills and strategies for making meaningful change.
Do I need to go to a treatment group for my OCD subtype?
No. You don’t need a treatment group that matches your specific OCD subtype.
While OCD can present in many different ways (often called “OCD subtypes”), the underlying processes that drive OCD are the same.

In a group setting, people are often surprised by how much they have in common with others, even if their OCD looks different on the symptom level. That shared understanding becomes a powerful part of the treatment process.
